The Waiting Game Ain't All Bad

Well, I guess no matter the hobby you're in there's always delays when ordering parts.  I've been waiting on some Z-bars from Licks Cycles since May and counting.  I know they're backed up and then they were out for a couple weeks, but man.. come on!  Gotta give them a call tomorrow to see if they still remember my order.  On top of the bars, I've been sitting on this 16" rear rim project for about a month now.  Tried to lace my own rim using some OEM Honda parts to no avail.  No worries, I just called up Buchanan Spokes in Azusa, CA for some help.  They had me ready to go in about 3 days.  Now I'm just waiting on a Shinko Classic 240, which is apparently a PITA to find.  Well, as usual, Ebay to the rescue.

All this waiting wasn't a thang though. I recently got to go on a ride I always wanted to do.  Hollywood.  Well, that was a huge mistake.  My idea of a great ride isn't splitting traffic on Hollywood Blvd.  Regardless, my old buddy had us off the main drag and onto side streets into the Hollywood Hills in no time.  Ended up taking a nice roundabout way to Santa Monica with side trips to Mount Olympus (only in Hollywood I guess) and the Pacific Palisades.  Here's a pic from the ride.  Didn't snap more, since I was busy navigating my way between cars and avoiding pedestrians.

Until next time amigos!
