New Bars for the Honda Shadow VLX Bobber

After more than TWO months, my handle bars have finally arrived.  Thanks Licks, it was late, but better than never.  I was supposed to wait and do the rear rim and bars together but I was like a dog thrown a bone with gobs of juicy cooked meat.  I couldn't wait and just just straight into it.  It was hot like a swampy ass today in So Cal.  90 degree weather with humidity.. and rain.  What the fuck?  Oh well, nothing was going to deter me from installing my shit.

Installation Notes
So installing the bar was pretty straight forward.  These 10" Z-bars didn't require any new cables.  Since these were going on a Honda Shadow get some non dimples and pretty much all you have to do is drill a hole for the crummy OEM controls.  If you're getting rid of them, even better, your install will be twice as fast as mine.  Line the bar up on the risers, button everything back up and you're back on the road.

Riding
More bumpy since I'm hard tailed now.  I suppose when I had the upside down tracker bars from Biltwell, I put all my upper body weight on the bars to calm the front end down over small to medium bumps.  Now I'm getting bucked around, but its still more comfortable for my back versus the old set up.

Pictars
So I'm going to bore you with a phone cam picture of it in my apartment room floor next to my bling blang wheel:

Next mod.. 16 inch rear rim.

  1. Where’d you get these handle bars, cause I’m trying to find some bars that won’t need cable extensions .
