Last Week in Two Wheeled Tom Foolery

Last week was a busy week for the Giant Bowery Mashup x Davidoff Rig.  Not only did I find the direction I wanted to go in with the bike, I picked up a few things for the Davidoff.  I couldn't bear looking at my new wheel just wasting away anymore, so I shot over to Banning's Bikes in Downtown Fullerton for some whiskey, um, I mean tires.  As a brief aside, I find it funny that I've walked by this shop so many times on the way to the bars and off handedly thought to myself, "Who goes in that place??"  Hm. The irony.  Anyhow, I picked up an inner tube and a Vittoria Rubino Pro in red.  The service was decent if a little robotic from my Asher Roth looking salesman (shoulda stayed in college. homie.), but everyone else was very friendly.  I'll be heading back for some knick-knacks I suppose.  The bike though, I think, turned out quite nice:

I haven't thrown on the front carbon fork yet.  I think I'll get that all done at the same time as the rear rim since I have to get the steerer tube cut.

While out in Arcadia on the weekend, I picked up some Primo pedals from Benson over at Jones Bicycles II to replace the stock Giant ones.  One reaction: WOW.  Tons more surface area, so I feel like I'm able to get more power to the ground.  Since I'm not big on clips and cages I just got me some of these and boy were they worth it.  The way I see it, when you gotta ditch the bike and bail, all that those fancy clips and cages are gonna do is turn your ass into hamburger ala car grill.  Enough ranting:

Lastly, I leave you with some brilliant Target male hoseriey. Yes.  I bought these. No. I'm not ashamed.

Until next time bitches!
