Zoom Kobe V. Finally.

The wait is over.  Finally, official pics from Marqueesole.com!  The latest shoe in the Kobe line gets shown in all its glory in whats being dubbed the, "Chaos" edition.  While this colorway is okay, I'm willing to bet that with some darker Laker colorways, ala Carpe Diem,  it'll be a hit.  Its awesome how you can rock these casually with some jeans and step onto the court at any given moment.  It is a little disappointing that the changes aren't as drastic from one generation to the next though.  The shoe looks to have retained flywire and lunarfoam, which means if you ain't ballin, and you're using these to ball in.  You're gonna enjoy these bad boys for about 20 games and they're done.

Another Night, Another Ride.

Got the drop bars on the SE Draft tonight, so what better way then to go for a romp through OC?  Nothing much except more pictures.  I know, I know.  Boring pics, but hey, we're working on the tricks.  You think we like hard parking our bikes??  If anything, these pics are just really spaced out time lapses of what our rigs are going through.  Enjoy.

Shenanigans

Last Week in Two Wheeled Tom Foolery

Last week was a busy week for the Giant Bowery Mashup x Davidoff Rig.  Not only did I find the direction I wanted to go in with the bike, I picked up a few things for the Davidoff.  I couldn't bear looking at my new wheel just wasting away anymore, so I shot over to Banning's Bikes in Downtown Fullerton for some whiskey, um, I mean tires.  As a brief aside, I find it funny that I've walked by this shop so many times on the way to the bars and off handedly thought to myself, "Who goes in that place??"  Hm. The irony.  Anyhow, I picked up an inner tube and a Vittoria Rubino Pro in red.  The service was decent if a little robotic from my Asher Roth looking salesman (shoulda stayed in college. homie.), but everyone else was very friendly.  I'll be heading back for some knick-knacks I suppose.  The bike though, I think, turned out quite nice:

I haven't thrown on the front carbon fork yet.  I think I'll get that all done at the same time as the rear rim since I have to get the steerer tube cut.

While out in Arcadia on the weekend, I picked up some Primo pedals from Benson over at Jones Bicycles II to replace the stock Giant ones.  One reaction: WOW.  Tons more surface area, so I feel like I'm able to get more power to the ground.  Since I'm not big on clips and cages I just got me some of these and boy were they worth it.  The way I see it, when you gotta ditch the bike and bail, all that those fancy clips and cages are gonna do is turn your ass into hamburger ala car grill.  Enough ranting:

Lastly, I leave you with some brilliant Target male hoseriey. Yes.  I bought these. No. I'm not ashamed.

Until next time bitches!

Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski Obsidian Leather

Hmm, I've been looking for a shoe like this from Nike for a long time now.  Boat shoe status!  Hahah.. pics from Hypebeast.  Available from Caliroots now for about $117 USD, not including shipping.  Now to look for some Nike SB flannels, muahhaha!

Gucci iPhone App

If its Gucci, you know I gotta post it.  Some rapper is running around calling his-self Gucci-Mane.  Pffft.  I'M Gucci-Mang, mang!  Anyhow, Gucci has released an iPhone app that lets you mix some tracks from some guy named Mark Ronson.  Just another reason why I love Gucci.  They don't solely cater to the Creme De Le Creme, they got stuff for us urban-like folk too.  Peep it out on Daily Drop via the link below.

Bontrager x Felt Carbon Fork!

Got my loot yesterday night!  Bontrager Racer X wheel (what a cheesy ass name) and my Felt carbon fork!  Gonna take the wheel to check for any abnormalities this weekend and get some tubes and tires.  Hopefully I'll have it all on in a week or so.  If I'm throwing wack shit on my rig, can you two people who follow this please tell me.  I'm a noob and don't know which brands are quality parts.  Pics just because!

Taking The Rookie Out for a Twirl

My little bro just picked up a SE Draft, so we took him on our route from Costa Mesa to UCI to John Wayne and back to Costa Mesa.  I thought youngsters were supposed to have boundless energy.  We did stop by The District to see the homegirls fresh-from-the-ortho-grillz at Peet's Coffee.  Ah.. all in all a great and refreshing ride. Peep out Flickr for more pics.

Leaked Lexus LF-A Super Car. Finally, a CEO Who Listens

Looks like the new head honcho over at Toyota has his head on straight.  With Akio Toyoda at the helm, we've been given the successor to the AE86 and now... this.  The Lexus LF-A.  I know some people may not like it, but I'll be damned if people don't jock and hate on you if you own one.  This thing sounds amazing as well.  Hit up Autoblog to see more pics.  Looks like the R35 finally has some home-bred competition.  Cheers!

KB24 Now A Fashion Model

The Black Mamba doin' the damn thang!  Here's a couple pics from the October issue of L’Uomo Vogue via his site.  It's awesome to see him in other threads besides his jersey.  I'm sure as an individual off the court, he's just as interesting, I'd love to one day meet Kobe and pick his brain on everything from how he approaches life to perfecting that buttery smooth fade-away jumper.  Hit the link to check out the article in all of its glory - WITH English translations:  kb24.com

Giant Bowery Mashup x Davidoff Edition

Picked up my Bowery Mashup a few weeks ago from Jones Bicyles II, been using it to commute to school.  Going from a junior bmx bike to this is like upgrading from a hooptie Chevy Nova with no hubcaps to a 93 RPS13 with TE37's.  Heh.  Anyhow, you'll see it go through its transformations soon enough.  Parts have been ordered, now just finding the time to put it all together.  Here's a pic for pic whoring sake. Say tuned.

"Laker Haters Are Really Closet Laker Fans."

The homie said that today and I totally agree.  If you hate something, why do you bother going into youtube clips of the Lakeshow??  I hate the Celtics, you don't see me youtube-ing Celtic highlights.  I love it.  A new season gives the Lakers another season to silence them.  Without you haters, life would be so boring.  Hey haters, ring ceremony is the 27th.  Make sure you tune in to eagerly watc--err I mean hate on them.

Just a little somethin' somethin' to get the blood pumpin:

The music makes the video.

Fire Red 3 Lookin Air Jordan Spiz'ikes!

I love me some Spiz'ikes.   I don't know what all the hate is about for this shoe.  They took some of the most popular J's and threw them into one handsome silhouette.  Thats having your cake and eating it too, isn't that all we want??  Anyhow, loving the Fire Red inspiration.  With all the black shoes with white soles being all the rage, go Maverick and rock these bad boys. Hit the link to see a grip of pics - you pic whores.

Nike SB - Fall/Holiday 2009 Accessories - Backpack Collection | Eugene & SB

After all the scrambling I did to find my Nike SB backpack, Nike SB gonna make it just too easy to re-cop one of these bad boys huh?  Sheesh.  At least mine has the elephant print though.. haha.. the red one's in there just for you to drool over, Del.  That Laker colorway is pretty ill though.  Pre-season IS almost over.. so you Laker heads need to hit that up.  Hit the link to check out the info from Freshnessmag.
